This is Tita Lala and Lizzie, unfortunately something bit her eye but she still remains the cutie little muffin she is. When your kid is a bit grown up you’ll love her more each day but still you kinda miss the good stuff of having a baby lol. Their eyes light up at the simplest of things, their chuckles fascinate you in words you can’t explain, you watch them try their best to walk and wobble. They’re the cutest. And no matter how tired you are it seems like your tiredness magically disappears. Babies, they’re magical. Do you remember the first time when you saw your baby smile? *)
The years are long but the days are short says the author of Project Happiness so I love each day as they come. She’s growing up and soon will lock herself up in her room with her Ipod and I- everything lol.
* I’m thinking of buying a carpet. Let’s buy a carpet!!
Will it fly Mommy?
*Explained to her that people pass away and go to heaven while watching a TV show.
She asked Will you pass away too?
I said yes one day
“But I will miss you coz I love you. Will I get another mommy?”
*What’s your gift for mommy?”
Drawing only, you teach me.
“What’s your gift for daddy?”
A car!! a really tiny car
*What do you like for your birthday?”
I’d like a Big Purple spoon
To eat a giant donut
Even if you’re feeling safe wearing your Schuberth S2 helmets , you can’t really have a child ride with you who is below 10 years old. Admittedly I still see them unfortunately. Maybe for lack of time or the option of other modes of transportation but well you could actually get imprisoned for this according to the law. Now if you have an 11 year old with you, they would have to wear a helmet too. Let’s just be safe and keep the little ones safer.
I was watching TV this morning and saw this viral photo of the Ridiculously good looking surgery baby. I would put this photo if I could on a multiple monitor stand and just marvel at life’s miracle. This photo at dailymail.co.uk is among other cute photos of Joey Powling Jr. 3 months young who underwent a heart surgery. His dad on the interview said he was worried post operation but he saw his little boy smiling like nothing went on. With that gorgeous smile, that 4 inch scar seemed somewhat life’s wonderful art.
Kinder Zoo deals everywhere on group buying sites so we decided to check it out. It was a hot summer day when we decided to go to Kinder Zoo. We looked around Manila Zoo first then headed to the Kid friendly Zoo where you can interact with the animals. To the left of the Kinder Zoo entrance is the tiny fish spa, I stole a shot from people who paid for that activity.
The staff from Kinder Zoo are very accomodating, there’s ate neneng and the other zookeeper guys who insisted that we do the bird feeding.
There’s Kuya Joel who was patient with scaredy mommy and daddy lol. Fortunately the little girl was more game than her parents. We saw gibbons who think they could have built in thera band from yogaaccessories the way they bend and swing from this way to the next.
There’s also the Kinder Zoo pool, a little boy was having fun splashing in the shallow water when we came in.
A tiny horseback riding area is also available for the kids to enjoy at Kinder Zoo.
The Little girl enjoyed the butterfly activity most of all, she got to hold them and let them fly. I’ll put that in another post. It’s a nice break from the usual play time, very different from Game Zoo.
The experience she had was something she was still hyped up about even days after her Kinder Zoo visit.
I cannot remember the last time I stepped within Manila Zoo’s walls. Now it’s 40pesos ticket per adult and 20pesos for the kid. It was cool to go somewhere else within the city that does not include shopping like crazy. When we came in a bunch of little girls and boys were excitedly walking to see the animals. It was a pretty big place from what I expected.
There were more species of birds than anything else, most probably because they’re the easiest to feed.
We even saw a pregnant goat
There were 2 tigers, both asleep so the little girl did not find them all that fascinating lol
I do wish the government would allot more funds for Manila Zoo. It’s got huge potential to be a major tourist attraction if spent for and maintained properly.
Hubby said, the animals are not very active except for a few.
Manila Zoo is a couple of minutes walk to Harrison Plaza, SM Hypermart in Pasay City near Century Park Sheraton Hotel.
Before I head out to the salon and get the stylist busy with his shear holster , I just want to say I love Ascof Lagundi. My daughter’s classmate’s mom says it works well for her son. Post Pneumonia, still troubled with coughing it did help my little one to recover. She’s not totally without cough but she’s active and eats well and that’s just two days of taking it. It sometimes takes a week of antibiotics or cough syrup before I actually notice any improvement and now I found the solution. If I had known about Ascof Lagundi before I would have given it to her sooner. I heard about it and all that but never truly recommended to have worked wonders by someone I know.
Ascof’s 100% natural Lagundi leaves are nurtured organically in a quality-certified farm untainted by synthetic chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
More than two decades of research and analysis by top institutions (NIRPROMP, UP-PGH) and top scientists (Dra. Nelia Maramba).
It has been clinically-proven to be an effective and safe anti-cough medication in pediatric and adult patients based on the numerous Randomized Double Blind Controlled Clinical Trials conducted at the PGH, UST and other major institutions.
ASCOF provides a 3-Way action in relieving cough:
1.) Relaxes air passageway (brochodilating activity)
2.) Melts phlegm (mucolytic activity)
3.) Relieves cough and asthma
(cough relief/ anti-histaminic activity) – ascof.com.ph
When I bid my singlehood farewell, I wish I knew that being a mom was going to be a cross between sheer happiness and never ending worry. I also wish I had rechargable batteries so when I got tired I just remove the batteries like the Stepford wife that I am, recharge and go again.
The physical exhaustion is nothing compared to the emotional distress you could get when your baby gets sick. I had to deal with Pneumonia when she was 2 months old.
Pneumonia is an inflammatory condition of the lung—especially affecting the microscopic air sacs (alveoli)—associated with fever, chest symptoms, and a lack of air space on a chest X-ray.Pneumonia is typically caused by an infection but there are a number of other causes like Infectious agents include: bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites.
I heard my baby coughing and later on she was too hot to touch so we rushed her to the hospital. Xrays taken , pneumonia declared and she had to be admitted. I had to watch her crying while the nurse tried to find the tiniest vein so they could get those meds in. It was a nightmare. It took 7 days of antibiotics, cranky crazy baby howling nights. I thank God I had a spectacular though not very bright nanny then but she did care for my baby, bless her soul and a hubby who although somewhat fresh from being a bachelor was lost in space but managed to get his act together in the end.
Pneumonia is the leading cause of death in children worldwide.
Pneumonia kills an estimated 1.4 million children under the age of five years every year – more than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined – WHO
So vaccines and vaccines later ( I was hoping those very expensive vaccines would last longer but noooo) , I was faced with the same nightmare. Now she’s still my baby but older, much older. A long time without much hitches healthwise, she went to school and bham! A couple of months after I had to deal with looking and hearing at my kid with incessant coughing again, fever that reached 41 degrees, chills that sent my heart beating outside of my chest.Nine days of being cooped up in the hospital I thank GOD she did not overdose on Sanpime , Dextrose and motherly worry. I thank everyone who prayed, who visited, who sent a message of concern. Times were tough. I wish I never had to go through that again. I hope and pray she will never go through those again.
She still has some difficulty breathing but eating more nutritiously, more active but somehow prone to viral infections. Pineapple is recommended by my doctor. A friend vouch for Malunggay. New sets of vaccine to be administered the coming months. Dose of sunshine required as Pneumonia can return.
Keeping our fingers crossed. Whispers of fervent prayer.
When founder Toru Kumon developed the Kumon worksheets, all he had in mind was the improvement of his son Takeshi.
But as soon as he saw his son developing advanced academic skills enabling him to tackle even calculus with ease even though he was just in Grade 6, Mr. Toru Kumon realized how effective the worksheets were. And he thought “It would be a sheer waste if only Takeshi benefitted from this.”
Thus, he launched the kindness movement—a movement that aimed to spread Kumon all over the world; a movement that has brought Kumon to your area now.
As Kumon Philippines launches its 2-Week Free Trial Campaign, now would be the perfect time to join Mr. Toru Kumon’s kindness movement. From September 17 to 29, Free Trial participants will go through the same learning routine as regular Kumon students.
In those two weeks they will:
• Attend four class days
• Get Kumon worksheets daily
• Receive a study assessment from the Instructor
• Have an individualized study plan
Come and join Kumon Philippines’ 2-Week Free Trial Campaign! Registration is ongoing! Slots may vary per Center. Call or visit the Kumon Center near you.
