Giving up everyday Coffee

I used to drink 2-3 cups of coffee in a day. I wake up and say I need coffee. Midday I feel sleepy, I need coffee. I take a break from work, I need coffee. Although coffee does taste good. I found out like any other bad habit, It’s mind over matter. I read somewhere that you just condition your mind to crave for coffee even though you don’t really need it. Months into going coffee crazy I felt tired even if I have just woken up. I feel stomach pain, pain in the right side of my stomach that went away after I started letting coffee go.

Coffee both contains acid and creates acid. There’s the amount of acid in the brew itself, but there’s also the acid your stomach produces as a result of drinking the coffee. In the latter case, caffeine is a culprit, as it makes your stomach generate more acid. But other components of coffee also stimulate stomach acid. People who suffer from acid reflux, a condition in which stomach contents seep up the esophagus, may want to reconsider drinking coffee at all.

I replaced coffee with water. Two glasses of water a day after waking up that revitalizes the organs. I started with missing a day then taking coffee the next day until I forget I needed or wanted it in the first place. Day by day I just started to let it go. It’s not as easy as flicking off pneumatic switches but I got around to it. Oh I’m not a hypocrite I won’t totally avoid coffee because it does have its benefits but waking up craving for coffee is a thing of the past.  It would be a once a month thing if I was offered. I don’t really need it, my body does not agree with it plus it’s nice to let go of the extra calories. That’s how I did it. 8)

What happens when you stop exercising

 photo Photo1859_zps1631ab7e.jpg

The fact is if you stop working out even for a couple of weeks. It’s going to blow you back to humpty dumpty mode especially if you go on a summer eating frenzy, gorging in tubs and tubs of Ice Cream. Translating into barrells of fats that would show up in your waist, your cheeks, (although you look probably totally cute) arms and other freakishly hidden places. So you know make it a habit. Think of it like those  couples promise rings Maintain even if you eat healthy you still got to keep those muscles in place or build new ones.

Sleep right, lose weight

Have you noticed that going on night shift can potentially make you gain more weight? Hold your Padron 1926 for a while and think about it. Not sleeping right, apart giving you those dreadful undereye circles can give off stress hormones. Stress hormones that can end up making you reach for more of those nachos oozing with cheese. Sleep 8 hours a night if you could to defy those cravings.

Two more reasons why you should exercise

Here’s are two more reasons why you should get off that computer and start exercising.

1. Exercise relieves constipation. Helps keep your sluggish colon going. Think of it as giving your intestines a push to give you a regular bowel movement.

2. When you get older, you lose muscles and therefore gain more weight. So start going for a run in the morning, buy that belly dancing dvd or grab yourself some weights. It gives you a glow inside and out.

Wheatgrass with Honey

Bought another pack of Wheatgrass with Honey with my mastercard prepaid credit card . It’s been a while since I’ve bought Easy Phamax wheatgrass. The first time I drank the thing I loved it. Now, I find it too sweet but still refreshing. Did you know that wheatgrass detoxifies and makes you feel energized? So if you’re having a slump, drink wheatgrass. Next time I’ll buy the plain one and just add my own honey.

Slimming Patches do they work?

I’ve seen those slimming patches being sold online. Do they work? Seriously I don’t think so lol. If they do then we got thin girls everywhere raving and craving for those patches. They claim to have herbal ingredients and wont hurt you in any way but again this is marketing so you’ll never know for real. Bogus claims and paid testimonials on forums abound. Who knows what’s going to work well for you?

So maybe if you’re thinking of buying, ask yourself these questions

1. Will there be no guaranteed side effects even in the long run and continued use? How would you know?

2. Will it make you lose that much weight that you want with one box?

3. If you do lose weight during using it, what happens when you stop? Do you bloat back like a balloon, slowly during the next days?

4. Is it worth it to risk your health and your family?

But if you’re willing to try it why not right. It’s your call.

The calories in ketchup

Vacation is over. So I slurp from those Mc Donald’s Heinz ketchup packets. I’m weird like that. (Wash before slurping!)  I need someone to get me an airbrush machine so I could tan away all the weight gain.

Did you know that upon searching I found out that one packet actually contains 15 calories? So I had three and that’s 45 calories!!

I’m a ketchup monster but hey I’m loading up on tomatoes and lycopene. Right?

Who wants all you can eat fries

As I screamed, that’s an exaggeration wait, no I jumped for joy. There’s that sign all you can eat fries. Almost 300 calories of bliss in one small serving and I can triple it, oh wait like I can multiply it by a tenfold. Wow!!! I just love french fries I’m sorry lol. Talk about the health risk in that, there should be a general liability insurance cost if something happens to you after being the glutton that you are. I mean, that I am. Yum. Who wants eat all you can eat fries! Raise your hand!

Cycling away

So after dozens of exercise dvds and staring at the tv rack , I thought I’ll go into cycling. Got a bit bored with running, would be nicer if I was running along the beach.

I tried the hubby’s bike, I broke it again. I tried it before and the seat just got bent. Mommy’s just too heavy lol. I lost weight then gained it back again. It’s a never ending struggle. However, my hubby said never to give up as Dr. Phil said. Maybe I’ll be model thin by the time I’m a Senior ha ha.
